The aim was to use variety of mixed media materials and techniques in the outdoor art piece and a transient art / student led approach to create the indoor art pieces.

Outdoor Mixed Media Work

For this piece students collected branches and painted them, adding tissue paper and other materials to create a cherry blossom branch. They added Papier Mache painted birds and collaged bird houses made from 3d shape nets.

Students assembled the various parts of the artwork outdoors, adding extra decorations that they chose from our Spring art box.

Indoor Transient Art pieces

Students use the transient art technique often at Seven Hills school to create work from their own imagination, pieces that can be easily adapted and changed as they work through the creative process.

For this piece students were given a variety of loose parts materials, from our Spring Art box, the start point was a small branch on four bamboo mats.

Photographs of bird’s nests were laid on the table for inspiration but students could add what they wanted to the piece. The four students who were in Red Bubble that day have their work displayed here.
